Ahead of its anticipated launch in July, HMD has teased its upcoming repairable smartphone, building on its commitment to user-friendly maintenance. Following the introduction of an entry-level device at MWC, the company is now showcasing its repairable model on social media platforms.
Displayed in Grey and Pink variants, adorned with the distinctive HMD logo, this smartphone is expected to offer more color options upon release. Notably, it boasts a 108MP sensor, aligning with previous speculations.
Embracing a 'Fix it Yourself' (FIY) ethos, HMD aims to streamline screen repairs, eliminating the need for phone separation due to damage. This approach emphasizes user empowerment in device maintenance, a sentiment echoed during the MWC unveiling.
In addition to this repairable offering, HMD has confirmed the arrival of the Barbie flip phone in May 2024, further diversifying its product lineup. The silver/grey iteration of the repairable phone is anticipated to support the HMD Fusion case, with the company already providing a toolkit for developers on its global website to facilitate integration.
